About

It all started when…

Black Pebble Consulting Principal, Tracy Lydiatt, a former geologist turned sustainability specialist, began to manufacture gluten-free, vegan, nutritional snack Great Bear Paleo Bite cookies while looking for a suitable Paleo snack for her athletic pursuits. She worked internationally for a multi-national corporation as a Sustainability Advisor, Corporate Trainer and Social Responsibility reporter, and her path eventually led her towards food when her personal needs merged with business opportunities to align her sustainability values in the glorious form of a cookie. She is passionate about natural health, specialty food & cannabis, and is an avid Crossfit and Olympic Weightlifting athlete. Within 5 years, she successfully grew the brand to be a desired nutritional snack food and allergen free product distributed across North America in over 400 retail locations and on the North American Amazon FBA network.

She holds a Masters degree in Strategic Leadership Towards Sustainability (Sweden).  She is an award-winning sustainability advisor, educator and entrepreneur;  recipient of several leadership and writing awards.

Tracy’s expertise cover topics such as; sustainability strategy and corporate planning / reporting, food packaging design, product development (recipe, bench top testing, shelf stability), manufacturing, HACCP, brand development, marketing & distribution, financial planning, costing / pricing models and social media content strategies.
